Yard Registry ("we", "us") is a Jamaican business intelligence platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We collect only publicly available business listing information from Jamaican directories and government sources. This includes:
We do not collect personal data about business owners, employees, or customers beyond what is already publicly listed in the original source directory.
If you request an API key, we store your name or organisation name and the key itself. We do not store payment information — billing (if applicable) is handled by a third-party processor. API key usage logs (endpoint, timestamp, response code) are retained for 90 days for abuse prevention.
We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We perform automated web probing to detect whether a publicly listed business has a live website, social media presence, or WhatsApp contact. These probes use only the business's publicly listed name and contact details. No tracking cookies or personal identifiers are used.
Business records are retained indefinitely to maintain the historical registry. Records can be removed on request (see Section 8). API usage logs are deleted after 90 days.
The platform runs on locally hosted infrastructure. API keys are stored hashed. Basic authentication protects the internal dashboard. We apply industry-standard security practices and review them regularly.
If your business is listed and you wish to be removed or corrected, contact us at [email protected]. We will process removal requests within 14 business days.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
